PLEASE START US OFF BY INTRODUCING YOURSELF:
I'm ichbinhamma, the solo-dev behind 'Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot'.
I've been developing games on the side for ~8 years, and with the latest I wanted to combine my old side scrolling RPG games with the auto-chess/auto-battler genre.
TELL US ABOUT DWARVES.
This game was made with a total budget of $0 (I even got donations from the prototype on itch which covered the $100 Steam fee). I've been programming for about 15 years and have been doing some gamedev for about 7 years very casually. This was my first time putting a game on Steam and selling it. When I came up with the game idea, I was actually only thinking about creating a little game for myself and maybe some friends.
As a novice commander of the dwarf legion, your journey begins with two dwarves. They start out with rudimentary gear and weak combat abilities. Only by defeating enemies, gaining experience and gold, fully equipping them, honing their battle skills, and recruiting more warriors to your ranks can you triumph.
HOW HAS THE DEVELOPMENT JOURNEY BEEN AND WHICH GAME ENGINE DID YOU CHOOSE AND WHY?
I'm using Unity, because it seemed to be the best choice at the time for me with the intention of making a mobile game in the first place (things changed during development...). You can read furthur on my development journey here:

WHAT'S BEEN YOUR BIGGEST DEVELOPMENT HURDLE SO FAR?
Biggest development hurdle has been finding the time to game-dev between a dayjob and a social life.
ADVICE FOR FELLOW DEVS?
Advice for new people: Just start doing things and don't overthink. Don't develop behind closed doors, but start showing your stuff to people as early as possible.
