WHICH GAME ENGINE DID YOU CHOOSE AND WHY?
Godot is the game engine I chose. I started to use it back in 2018.
My first game engine was Gamemaker, after a while I felt limited to only have 2D which led me to look for other engines.
I had tested Unity a little, however at the time moving from GML (Gamemaker's language) to C# seemed like a big leap unlike gdscript!
I was already into open source tools, so when I searched for game engines, Godot had my attention.
Knowing that it was possible to have 2D and 3D, customizable tool scripts and every property animatable, this sounded really great!
It felt like the game engine of the future in some way!
I'm still happy to use it today, so I guess this was the right choice for me!
