My name is Jin. Based in Tokyo Japan. I am 8 years experienced game dev fulltime and software engineer 2 years. During that I always made games solo in my freetime.(Like the latest one). 

I have an ambitious to build my on studio like the other solo dev has.



TELL US ABOUT ONE ROOM DUNGEON.

The inspiration for my latest project was because by child birth and the latest game I played. Super Auto pet + Backpack hero. I decided to merge these 2 games concept. And the art style. Until now in my life I made all dark fantasy theme. This is my first time to make a cute theme because of my child.



HOW HAS THE DEVELOPMENT JOURNEY BEEN

WHICH GAME ENGINE DID YOU CHOOSE AND WHY?


I use Unity because of I familiar to it and I worked in Unity Technologies(the company) for 2 years. Runtime fee does not apply to the current version yet. My game is planned to be release Next year Jan all phase are planned thanks to experience :).


WHAT'S BEEN YOUR BIGGEST DEVELOPMENT HURDLE SO FAR?

It would be the time spending on it. It is tough when you have a kid. I could do only 1 ~ 2 hours on it max a day.


ADVICE FOR FELLOW DEVS?

Yes many in game design perspective.




ANY FINAL THOUGHTS?

This is my first time in cute style of game. I’ve found myself enjoy it so much. To think back the game creating suppose to be fun. And I think I have fun in this project.
