199 Create a new Layout and Event Sheet

Call them Menu 

and evMenu

200 Rename Layer 0 to Background

Our Global Background layer appears.

201 Visit Cool Text and create a Game Title:

202 Add a new layer at the top

Call it Menu

203 Add a new Object Types Subfolder

Call it Menu

Add your Title as a Sprite

204 Add your Title Sprite to the Menu Layer

205 Add two new SpriteFont objects to the Menu Folder.

Import the SpriteFonts from the Menu --> Text Folder

In your assets folder.

What is a SpriteFont?

The Sprite Font object uses an image to display text.

This allows complete artistic control over the appearance of text, 

rather than having to choose from existing fonts.

 If you need things to align precisely and look the same in all browsers, use Sprite Font.

206 Right-click and save these Arrow images for use as an animated Menu Cursor

207 Add the arrow to your Menu folder

As a Sprite

208 Import the frames and adjust the properties as shown

209 Drag your BlackText SpriteFont onto the screen.

It will be blank.

210 Edit the properties as follows:

211 It is crucial to 

reduce the Character set!

212 Now edit your text

213 Finish your menu screen by adding your options

Add the ArrowSelect and take note of it's POSITION

214 Our Black Text is going to act as the SHADOW for our white text.

Drag the White Text onto the layout and adjust it's properties as shown:

215 Remember to CHANGE THE CHARACTER SET!

216 Place the white text over the black

at a slight offset to get the shadow effect!
