TELL US ABOUT KORONEKO

KORONEKO is a calming puzzle game with a Kawaii aesthetic. The game is stress-free with no Timer, Step counter nor enemies.

The idea for the game came from the restrictions that we started with such as the only one mechanic allowed.




HOW HAS THE DEVELOPMENT JOURNEY BEEN

It went smoothly for the most part with a few bumps along the way, I believe that having a comprehensive vertical slice early on really helped plan the journey.





WHICH GAME ENGINE DID YOU CHOOSE AND WHY?


We chose unity because of the familiarity and experience of the team with it.




WHAT'S BEEN YOUR BIGGEST DEVELOPMENT HURDLE SO FAR?

Personally ensuring that every decision got the appropriate time it needs to be thought about and hearing teams opinion on where we aren't wasting our time nor being too hasty.

ADVICE FOR FELLOW DEVS?

Limit yourself and start small, if you go big then you need to scrap it affecting the quality of the game, but if you start small and finished early you always can add stuff with the extra time.
