Hi! We’re OSEAin, an indie team of 8 people from Spain, and we’re very excited to be developing our first game, Rumbral. We’re actually a graphic design studio by origin, but we love exploring new creative fields — and game development has been one of the most exciting so far.
Rumbral is a 2.5D puzzle platformer where you switch between timelines by stepping into a mysterious red liquid. Reality bends with every step as you solve puzzles across two versions of the same world — the past and the present.
We had a clear artistic vision from the start. Our goal was to create an atmospheric and cinematic experience, with visuals and tone playing a key role in how the player connects with the world. The idea came from wanting to merge gameplay and art direction in a way that felt cohesive and immersive.
The journey has been full of learning and experimentation. Since many of us come from design and illustration backgrounds, we had to pick up a lot of new skills and tools to make this happen — from level design and shaders to gameplay scripting.
It’s been challenging at times, but also super fun and rewarding.

Probably what we just mentioned — the huge amount of skills we’ve had to learn from scratch. But honestly, coming from a different creative field, like graphic design, gave us a unique perspective and helped us build a strong visual identity that defines Rumbral.
Our biggest advice: build a strong foundation. Focus on a powerful, unique core mechanic and develop a clear artistic direction from the very beginning.
Make something you believe in — and that you genuinely enjoy working on throughout the process.
