My name is Rostislav, I’m an architect and a solo game developer. I’ve always loved cozy games and architecture, so I decided to combine those passions in a game project. Right now, I’m working full-time on my cozy sim, Tiny Shop: Make It Cozy.
Tiny Shop: Make It Cozy is a relaxing shop simulator where you decorate a small boutique, it’s all about creating a warm and inviting space at your own pace.
The idea came from a personal dream: one day I’d love to quit everything and open a cozy little shop. Since that’s not possible for now, I decided to bring that dream to life through a game.
The development has been both challenging and rewarding. I'm working solo, so I handle everything from design to programming to art direction.
I use Unreal Engine, cos i love blueprints and light in engine
The hardest part is probably staying motivated when progress feels slow. Some days are filled with doubts or technical issues that seem endless. But the support from the community and seeing people excited about the game really helps me keep going. Also I hate to do GUI!
Start small and finish things. I still think that Tiny Shop could be smaller....
Also, don’t underestimate how powerful it is to build in public and share your progress. Even small feedback can give you a huge boost of energy.
I’m really grateful for the chance to create something personal and cozy. If you’ve ever dreamed of running a tiny shop, I hope this game brings you a little bit of that feeling.
