We wanted to make a turn based roguelike, pretty much traditional mechanics but with some modern flare, like animated steps/turns
Ok, we found each other (Thomas x 2) through the gamedev forums.
Started with Godot, but mostly C# custom code.
biggest hurdle i would say is playtesting capability. But the demo will help with that I'm sure!
For aspiring devs: start small! Finding teams or collab partners online is hard but can be done if you're willing and able. In my opinion, small teams have the advantage of staying tight, both with ideas and getting work done
Keep you first (1 or 2) game projects small, and then even smaller! This also takes practice, like everything else. Try to be as honest as you can to your vision. If it's your own vision it will hopefully show and people will appreciate it, among the billions of other games!
