Watertight is a short story horror game about trying to escape from the depths of the ocean. The idea came up when I was rewatching Titanic and watching documentaries about the ocean gate disaster.
The development journey has been very intense. The whole project from start to end is going to be made in the span of 4 months!
I am using Unity because it is the engine I am most familiar with.
There has been many hurdles during development the biggest one is the time frame. Especially since this is my first ever game to be released to steam, I had to learn a lot and having only 4 months to do everything has been very difficult.
My advice for others is going to be cliché but it is so important. Scope down, even if you think it’s small keep scoping down because it’s so easy for a project to become overwhelming with so many ideas being bounced around.
Game development is a form of art and it is really unique. I started when I was 14 (22 now) and over the years I was able to make many different types of the games. It’s always fun on twitter to see other peoples projects as each person has something very different and special :)
